The Retail Manager is responsible for managing the retail stores on all aspects, which includes overseeing sales, staff, inventory and lead new projects. The Retail Manager will also act as the direct contact for all marketing activities with the suppliers in coordination with Brand managers.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail customer experience, commercial and visual merchandising displays. You will be in charge of keeping track on the retail team performance and training development.

RESPONSIBILITIES
& TASKS

General

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
  • Lead new expansion projects on all aspects with feasibility study.
  • Ensure the store fulfills all legal health, safety and brand guidelines.
  • Develop a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base.
  • Build and promote strong and long-lasting customer relationships.
  • In charge of store operational requirements and new orders.
  • Present sales, revenue, expenses reports and forecasts to the management.
  • Identify market shifts and trends.
  • Prepare the staff schedule and assignments; track performance.
  • Coaching and training retail staff.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, expenditures and initiating corrective actions.
  • Frame pricing policies, review merchandising activities and determine sales promotions.
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Determine marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.

Sales:

  • Develop the sales strategy for the market in line with the sales goals agreed upon.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans in the point of sales.
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted.
  • Consolidate and report to Management every month sales reports and provide periodic analysis of sales.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on activities and strategies being implemented by competitors that may affect our performance.

Marketing:

  • Managing the brands portfolio for Perfumes & Cosmetics divisions.
  • Establishes Marketing goals to ensure a share of the market and profitability of products.
  • Overlook marketing plans and strategies in coordination with the divisions.
  • Evaluates and monitor the effectiveness of marketing results and take fast corrective actions when needed.
  • Conduct market surveys on current and new product.

Commercial:

  • Consolidate and report monthly to Management local reports and provide periodic analysis on sell-out, sales & market share.
  • Maintain good client/retailer relationship.
  • Have a direct understanding of client needs and keep a comprehensive customer database.

Training:

  • Coordinate with the HR department on the retail staff training plan.
  • Coordinate with the management for the internal training budget.

REQUIREMENTS
& SKILLS

  • BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Male age above 35 years.
  • Experience: 10 Years and above.
  • Language (Arabic – English – French would be an advantage).
  • Ability to travel over all of Iraq.
  • Good knowledge of Iraq market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a high level of self-motivation in a busy working environment.
  • Willing to relocate in Iraq or already residing in the country.
